AGGRIEVED CRICKETER WITH……….TROLLS RETALIATED WITH REQUEST

Trolls have never missed an opportunity they get to comment on celebrities but this time the one that has always been trolled felt the need to bring the change in the law. Yes, we are talking about none other than our ace cricketer Virat Kohli.

Earlier we came across to a new rule that has ordered them to keep away their WAGs; at least for the 3 test matches that are going to be played against England.

Recently, the India Captain has requested the cricket board to allow wives of players to accompany the team for the full duration of overseas tours. As per the current policy wives of players are restricted just to two weeks.

Basically, there is a very insane logic attached to this by the trolls. The WAGs of cricketers are considered as a big distraction. As India vs. South Africa series that took place earlier this year was started on a disappointing note as Virat Kohli was sent back to the pavilion after scoring only five runs, and on the receiving end of a lot of hate was his wife Anushka Sharma from cricket fans.

“Seems #AnushkaSharma has brought lots of good luck for #Trolls and some bad luck for Kohli. I can smell opportunity #SAvIND #INDvSA #ViratKohli” –@Heisenberrggggg

“Anushka Sharma bad luck always …” –@iamthankful1997

You must remember that Anushka was mercilessly trolled in 2015 when Virat failed to perform during the India vs. Australia World Cup semi-final match. Trolls were extremely ruthless that they even went on calling her “bad luck” and “panauti”.

In 2016, when the couple briefly parted ways, even then Anushka was targeted. In the ICC World T20 (2016) Virat’s fantastic form led Twitteratti to thank Anushka for breaking up with him.

“Dear Anushka,

Thank you for giving him back to us.

Regards” -@mithelesh

“Anushka was a distraction for Virat I guess. Proud of India’s win. Well played Pakistan. It was a very interesting match!” –@YeshiSeli

But that forced Virat to lash out at trolls for attacking Anushka, as he tweeted in response.

“Shame on people for trolling @AnushkaSharma non-stop. Have some compassion. She has always only given me positivity.” –Virat Kohli

No doubt that after facing such incidents Virat feels the maximum need to alter the law for which Kohli first broached the issue with a top BCCI official who in turn conveyed the team’s request to the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA). Recently the matter was discussed in the much-awaited meeting between Team India members and CoA. Administrators wanted to follow the policy which is being used by the Cricket Australia. As per this policy, the CA works with the Australian Cricketers Association and then finalizes a certain period for the families, called as the family period. This period keeps varying with different series and depends on the length of the tours.

Well, trolls are not the one to point out this, after an Ashes disaster in 2007, the report by sports administrator recommended that a limited time should be allowed for WAGs on tour.

  • Also, former Australia wicket-keeper and reputed commentator Ian Healy during the 2015 Ashes blamed WAGs for Australia’s poor show.

Virushka are not the only one because there are other star players wife, on whom questions were raised for showing their presence on the international tours with hubby’s.

Dhoni & Sakshi

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi have been seen on several occasions. Although Dhoni has retired from Test format and because of this Sakshi can only see MS in limited-overs format matches. Sakshi has also appeared in the stadium on several cricket tours. Daughter Ziva can also be seen with her.

Ritika & Ayesha

Ritika, wife of Rohit Sharma who holds the title of Champion India in Asia Cup and Shikhar Dhawan’s wife Ayesha has also been seen in the stadium several times. Both are often seen holidaying with the husbands on different tours. Not only this, Shikhar Dhawan have often shared photos on Instagram, in which he appears to spend time with his family.

David Warner & Candice

In IPL, however, the players are exempted from staying with their wives. Meanwhile, the wives of foreign cricketers also appear alongside. David Warner’s wife Candice has also reached her to cheer husband in the IPL.

Bhubneshwar Kumar & Nupur

Bhubneshwar Kumar posted this picture with wife Nupur on instagram after losing the South Africa tour, earlier this year.
